The fact-finding committee, which was formed by the Iraqi National Council, has issued its report and emerged against the Turkish intervention in northern Iraq. The committee report is far from the truth, but it came to confirm the allegations of the two Kurdish parties, supporters of PKK, which take north of Iraq as their safe haven for launching attacks on our neighbor Turkey. In the mean time, few of the made up organizations which are considered to be Assyrians issued statements to confirm the report of the fact-finding committee. In addition, the mentioned puppets had discussed their services and efforts made in the European Union aiming against Turkey; this was to satisfy the two Kurdish parties and to be in line with their policies of racism and separatism. Those groups are forgetting the suffering of their own people under the two Kurdish parties and their policy of intimidation and kurdification of our people. Kurds are building settlements in our lands and aiming to kurdify our people and have been causing the migration of Assyrians since 1961 to the present day. This attitude clearly shows evidence that these artificial parties are planted among our people and are not interested in the future of our people or the future of Iraq as much as they are interested in maintaining some of the partisan and personal benefits in the Kurdish government. They continue their existence as parasites around the two Kurdish parties, proving they are only hired mouthpieces against the aspirations of our Assyrian people. The report came before the visit of the Turkish Prime Minister to exert pressure by the Iraqi government on the Turkish government and to ease the pressure imposed on the headquarters of the PKK and its activities inside Iraq and Turkey; PKK has been rejected by the Iraqi public opinion and the international community.

While the Assyrian General Conference condemns all external interventions in Iraq, we demand Iraqi National Council and the Iraqi government to stand by the fact that the report of the fact-finding committee lacks truthfulness. Iraqi government must condemn those who caused the Turkish army to intervene and establish basis in the region. They need to stop their support to the PKK, the cause of the said problem, and force it out of the borders. Pkk is preventing residents from returning to their villages; these areas are considered almost vacant with out any inhabitants, as a prelude to the return of dozens of villages belonging to our people in border areas of Nerwa, Rekan and Marga which are part of Dahuk province. The Iraqi government is obligated to stand by our people and defend them against the unjust policies by lifting the injustice which they suffered and the marginalization and exclusion in all spheres of political life. Also, the
racial discrimination, the kurdification and land seizer and to restore the usurped villages and kurdified lands to its rightful owners. We in the Assyrian General Conference (AGC) demand all political, national and international organizations to stand by our Assyrian people, who are being subjected to murder, deportation and kurdification. We are one of oldest peoples of the region and its indigenous population, which requires the international community to care and protect us based on their laws and the laws of the United Nations. The international community needs to work and restore confidence among the people of Iraq for peace and tranquility to prevail across the nation and the cooperation of everyone.
